Gate AccessQ: How do I get access through the front gate?A: Obtain gate cards from the MBR office. Q: How many gate cards can I obtain? A: Four: two are complimentary, the others are $10 each.
UtilitiesQ: Where do I get my water?A: Call Glacier Water District, (360) 599-2558.
Q: Whom do I contact regarding other utility services? A:
Q: Is there Internet service at the Rim? A: Yes, with a dial-up connection. Q: Can I get cable TV? A: Cable service is not available in the Glacier area. However satellite dishes are allowed. Q: Is our garbage and recycling picked up? A: There is a community garbage dumpster for household waste near the clubhouse. For recycling services, see information in the office. Building and Property StandardsQ: I am a property owner and I want to build on my lot. What do I need to do?A: First, contact Whatcom County Department of Planning and Development (360) 676-6907. Second, contact the MBR Property Standards Director (360) 599-2946 office@mtbakerrim.com and request a copy of our Miminum Property Standards document. (You can also download a copy from this website under Governing Documents.) Read this document carefully for the MBR permits and procedures required to build. MBR REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
Q: Can I cut trees or clear my property? A: Not without written permission from the Property Standards Director. Q: How do I contact the Property Standards Director? A: Call the office (360) 599-2946 and leave a message or email office@mtbakerrim.com.
Q: Does MBR require any kind of Damage Deposit during construction to protect the common areas? A: Yes, contact the Property Standards Director for more information. Q: Can we put a tent, teepee or yurt on our property? A: No.
Q: Are recreational vehicles or travel trailers allowed in MBR as temporary residences? A: Only during the 12-month construction period with written approval from the Board of Directors.
Q: What are the construction hours at MBR? A: Weekdays 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday (including holidays) 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Q: Can I store my motor home, snowmobile, boat, skidoo, etc. on my property? A: Our bylaws are clear that nothing is to be stored on any property unless within a proper storage area; this includes, but is not limited to, unlicensed vehicles, appliances such as refrigerators and garbage. A: Obtain a post office box at either the Glacier or Maple Falls Post Office.
Q: How do we receive packages from UPS, FedEx, DHL? A: Give them your street address and note that it is located in Mt. Baker Rim. The delivery trucks have gate cards. Contact and Office hoursQ: What are the office hours?A: Thursday through Sunday 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Q: Who do I contact after 11 p.m. for violation complaints? A: Call 911.
Q: How do I contact the Board of Directors? A: Board meetings are open to the members and occur the third Friday of every month at 8:00 p.m. at the clubhouse. You can also contact the Board at board@mtbakerrim.com.
Clubhouse and Swimming poolQ: Is there a lifeguard at the pool?A: No.
Q: Does the swimming pool offer swim lessons? A: No.
