Mount Baker Rim - Highlights from the September Board Meeting

Hello Neighbors! Thank you for making Mount Baker Rim such a great place to live and recreate. Here is a summary of key updates from our September Board meeting. As a reminder, members are always welcome to attend board meetings and full draft minutes are posted in the member portal within a week following each board meeting.

🎉 Community Fun & Amenities

• Halloween Event: The Board has approved a candy budget for community trick-or-treating.

• New Equipment: A new pool table has been ordered and is expected to be in place by year end. Keep an eye out for new air hockey paddles and tennis backboards as well!

  
  

🛠️ Maintenance & Facilities

• Pool Season: The pool officially closes this Thursday. Off-season repairs and decking maintenance will follow shortly after.

• Project Bids: We are actively gathering competitive quotes for siding repairs, an office bathroom remodel, and new spring playground additions.

  
  

🌲 Tree Policy & Communications

• Tree Policy Update: In addition to tree removal, significant tree work (such as limbing or topping) now requires prior review. Regular pruning and routine maintenance are still allowed without prior review. 💼 Finance & Operations

• Audit Savings: We selected a new auditor for our annual financial review, delivering thorough oversight at a lower overall cost.

• Long-Term Prep: Preparations are underway for 2028 state HOA statutory changes, along with ongoing evaluations of operational partnerships.
