The Board Does Not Use Nextdoor for Communication

From time to time we hear of members who are frustrated that they post questions on Nextdoor and don’t hear any responses from the MBR board. The board does not use Nextdoor as an official means of communication. While apps such as Nextdoor can be very useful and help neighbors come together or find the help they need for a particular issue, they can also very easily turn into negative rants, or places where people are rude and cruel to one another. The board agreed quite some time back that Nextdoor, and other similar social platforms were not a good or appropriate place for the board to communicate with members. That being said, the thoughts, concerns, and questions of members in our community are very important to the board, and there are proper channels for reaching out to us to have your concerns heard or your questions answered. If you have questions, or you’d like to get in touch with us, please use one of the following appropriate methods: For general MBR questions you can contact our staff Laura or Mike at the following email addresses: Mike.wilson@mtbakerrim.com Office@mtbakerrim.com Or for accounting or dues questions you can contact Laura at: Books@mtbakerrim.com To connect specifically with an individual board member you can find all the board email addresses on our website under the tab “For Owners”, and then select “Board of Directors”. If you have an issue you wish to bring to the entire board you can use the email: Mbr_board_only@mtbakerrim.com Or you can of course just join one of our board meetings which are usually held on the third Friday of every month at 7:00 pm. Contact the office for a link to these online board meetings. From time to time the date does change from the third Friday, so be sure to check out the MBR website homepage for the date of the next board meeting.

The very beginning of each meeting opens with a member question or comment period where members are welcome to let us know any concerns or issues, or to have their questions answered. Thanks!
